it's half term again...last month came and went in a blur...and I needed something to distract me...so I delved into my fabric stash and got to work...
using my all time faves (it took some deep breaths to chop in to some of them) I started on another quilt...
triangles this time...and a few neon's...I have loved making this :) I didn't really know what I was doing and there were moments of despair...like when I realised I had sewn them into hexagons instead of stripes...but I grabbed the unpicker and started again...
there have been some very late nights and I took it everywhere to make sure I could finish it....
using my favourite bobbly 60's sheet for the back..
and made a border in a pretty floral.. neon triangles and vintage patterns together are my favourite :)
yesterday when the sun was shining...it almost felt like spring and I sat outside my little shed and did the final hand stitching...
I'm so happy with how it turned out...
I am still sorting out the fabrics and keep adding them to my shop whenever I can ...there is a little sale on at the moment too...
hope you are having a lovely week x x x x x
It is absolutely gorgeous and so bright and spring-like!

Jane - it's looking great, love the zinginess of it. See you've got the triangle urge now.
ReplyDeleteI've been so addicted to my quilting lately and couldn't do anything else. I'm already thinking of different patterns and shapes I want to play with. Mike asked me not to make anymore for a while as he was missing me spending more time with my quilt than him. Little does he know what quilts are taking shape in my head as I bet they are in yours.
It's very pretty! Fi
ReplyDeleteDid you make that bag. I love it. If so, is there a pattern or tutorial you used? I would love to put it on my project list.
ReplyDeleteI did make it...I sort of made it up, but I used this tutorial to help with the method :)

ReplyDeleteHello :) I have had them a long time but I got them from a little haberdashery stall on my local market, I find they are the best place for all these kind of things. Or I have seen them on eBay :) hope that's of some help xxx
