More distractions....

I'm feeling spring in the air....well actually its freezing, too cold to snow even and its not very spring like outside as its nearly twelve at night . But I had to share these.......

New things...

I feel like I've been neglecting my littleteawagon shops lately, but its all been about searching,sourcing,washing,folding,ironing,measuring....more searching, taking pics,more searching..... I am getting worried that the fabric I search in vain for will eventually run out, but then I tell myself maybe I'll just have to start printing my own if that happens :)

Its great finding a new design that makes your heart go skippy, like this one..a fluffy kind of brushed cotton (I'm loving brushed cotton!!).....I have many plans for this but I did put a bit aside for the shop .

So if the shelves were looking a bit bare, I'm hoping to get them filled with some new fabrics and garlands by the weekend :)

Reasons to be cheerful Part 2

Its no secret that I'm a little behind with technology... I call those things from Amazon 'Kimbles', I only just realised that my computer doesn't have a 'hole' for floppy discs and if I need to go somewhere I don't know I look at a map.......so when I discovered one of those little memory card uploader thingys for your camera memory disk I thought all my Christmas's had come at once.

**Uploading my piccys onto the computer in the blink of an eye has to be one reason to be cheerful on a dull Monday morning :)**

**Eating lovely fresh eggys from the lovely Jane's hens who used to blog on here with me ..(Jane not the hens)**

**Finding that if I buy a nice drum lampshade I can make my old lampshade look a bit more 'with it'**

**Finally finding a frame befitting of the lovely 'Betsy' print **

but trying not to think of the huge parking fine I got whilst buying it

Not being very good at making new years resolutions and even worse at keeping them I decided to just make up some goals for 2011.....then I saw Dottie Angels 'shiny new year diorama' and Julie Arkels 'boxes' so I made up some kind of a ...well I'm not sure what it ended up as but it was good fun to do....


The toadstools are us.....the tiniest one being little Arn and the words are to remind us of what we should try and do this year...my favourites are 'slow down/speed up' these apply to all of us (except the dog..who definately does not need to speed up!)

Its made from a shoe box...newspaper,wrapping paper,old stamps,vintage sewing patterns,and that fab sticky back plastic that looks like wood.

Have also been having a little play with my fabrics.....

...I'm off now to take millions more pics with my fixed camera :)

Reasons to be cheerful Part 1

** Watching Benny and Joon on telly last night **

** Going for a walk in Lyme Park yesterday and blowing the cobwebs well and truly away (the little bourjois rouge pot was not needed yesterday, we all had the pinkest cheeks) **

** Seeing the Kings Speech and not minding that we had to sit so close I couldn't really see anything **

** Noticing that for the first time in ages I can see a bit of blue sky **

** Taking the boys to a basketball game and surprising myself by really enjoying it **

I am hoping that positive thinking will bring my trusty little silver and black companion back to me very soon.......and that blogger will stop putting random gaps in between my sentences.
