bye for a little while.....

after a few hectic weeks of trying to keep up with homelife....working for myself ...family...etc I realised something has to give...I think this is a familiar theme among most of us these days..

so yesterday when the sun came out...I sat down with a cup of tea and had a think....

not for too long.... just enough to realise that I maybe should have a little break from blogging for a wee while just to give myself some headspace....

and to get my head around this

and spend some time making and playing and laughing and organising

I'll be back with a spring in my step soon:)

Happy Friday

boy stuff.........

by the Teawagon Boys

We thought it would be nice to give you some inspiration for the half term holidays.
So here are some of our ideas which were inspired by the Muppets film which we went to
see with our dad this weekend.

Here is how we made them
1. design your characters

2.collect bright coloured felt , pom poms and buttons , stuffing etc
3.cut out shapes ( body and head)

4.  sew the felt together leaving a gap for stuffing

5.sew on details such as eyes or hair
6.push stuffing deep in with rubber end of pencil(not to fat)

7. sew up the gap and finish the details like noses and buttons

all photos by #1

And viola! there you  have your fun cute characters!!!
we thought we might put at least one boy like thing on here and
mum let us loose on her blog : )
we hope you enjoyed our holiday tutorial from the
Teawagon boys aged ten and nine
have a nice weekend

out comes the blue....again.....

...today found me doing lots of things I shouldn't and not much of what I should...but I had a good excuse, after spending quality time in my little work 'space' I have found a few things needed to be changed..like storage...... so out with the old and in with the new (to me)

.....it wasn't pretty, with its mirrored back and glass drinks shelf but it was just the right size and had everything I needed so I handed over my £25 and squeezed it into the back of the car.....

......and there it sat .....
for about ten minutes!
I had bought white paint for it but before I knew it ...the Thunderbird paint was out again....

...then out came the wallpapers......my favourite sticky back plastic in blue gingham and suddenly
there it was  :)

I am a bit of a whirling dervish when it comes to painting furniture...no tea on the table...no dog walked ..until it's done...
are you a nifty swifty painter?
or a deliberator?
