four walls and a roof.......

.....despite sticking a pencil behind my ear and using the word 'purlins' a lot the shed was never going to happen with just me and Mr H on the case....so we call in the professionals and its up in a day :)

so I have started squirreling things away for my little creative cabin..deerdre of course will be moving in with me, along with little boxes, clocks, toadstools and tins.....

so as the builder is telling me to insulate the walls and roof.... all I can think is where the little shelf will go...... what colour curtains.... rug...... cushion for my chair.... he left saying I should look at prices for insulation boards and a good floor so of course what is the first thing I do......

raid my fabric pile and make a patchwork curtain for the door.......for insulation ..of course :)

hope you are having a good Monday and a happy summer

  5. How fab. Sort the insulation out! We really did my shed well and infact so well its often cooler inside in the heat of summer than out in the garden. Also lovely and toasty in the winter, keeps the heating bill low! Love the curtain. How jolly. Makes me inspired to make some for mine.

  8. Its not fair - everyone seems to have a shed or a summerhouse or some such. All I have is half of a freezing cold (in winter) garage! Keep focussing on the little shelf!

  11. Silly man - why would anyone be interested in hearing about insulation. You just want it to be done magically while you think about the real important stuff.

    Love your curtain.

Me and the girls have been building a smaller version of your shed today and my back aches like hell from all the crouching.

  14. Have fun decorating your shed/cabin/place of absolute delight just for YOU!! :) Insulation sounds like a good idea as come winter time it might just be a tad cold for crafting. Good luck with it all.

  15. Lovely patchwork, too nice for a shed! Though I'm thinking of "my" shed which is chock a block with junk and gets very damp in the winter so there's no way I'd be putting such pretty things in it as they'd spoil. Perhaps insulation would help me...

  25. Hello, just found your blog via Annaboo and am swooning at all the gorgeousness on here. And I did a little whoo-hoo to see we have the same covered drawers. Well not the same, but you know, Ikea drawers covered in pretty card. Am certainly feeling inspired and staying to have a look around.
