This little 7'' single has such a sweet cover, I'm loving that HUGE teapot!! Perfect for all my free cups of tea.......which leads me nicely on to the giveaway......I'm wondering what funny, useful or pretty pointless prizes you may have won in the past,or even if you haven't won anything, leave a comment and you might just be lucky this time. I will pick out a winner at random using some very high tech method involving little bits of paper and a hat next monday :)
The prize is a very useful little pack of littleteawagon vintage fabrics, a real pick and mix assortment and a little extra surprise!!!!
**Good Luck**
When I was much younger I won the easter bonnet competition and the prize was a Bunnykins breakfast set.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of school I was so excited that I ran out to tell my Mum, fell over and smashed it to pieces! I cried for hours.
x
When I was a baby, my Mum entered me into a bonny baby competition. She told me I won 2nd prize. It wasn't until recently when sorting through my parents things that I came across the local newspaper cutting for the competition. My photo was there, but not for the bonny baby 2nd prize. The only mention was for my grumpy look! He He
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric pieces!
ReplyDeleteThe only price I ever won, was a crossword competition in a newspaper. I was 10 and won a very nice book with cartoons on 3rd world issues - which I did not understand at all!
But I was proud anyway...
You know the school fayre that happens every year? We always come home with a cart load of someone elses 'tat' because my two little ones love the idea of a raffle!! We once spent around £5 and got 2 bars of chocolate!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Justine, I always end up with the worst prize in a raffle, but it makes me laugh! Our family has a tradition of getting the worst, tackiest, present and re-wrapping it for someone else. A very shiny porcelain dolphin makes an appearance in someone's sack every christmas! Christmas wouldn't be the same without it! xxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteROFL Justine I remember entering a raffle at the local pub once. Bought $10 worth of tickets and won a frozen chook worth about $7!
ReplyDeleteBut the winnings that makes us laugh is when we won $1,800 in Lotto. We went and bought our sons cot form IKEA. Put it all in the trailor and my partner didn't bother to tie it down.
Well we got half was down the express way and it all went flying out of the trailor behind us!
We were very fortunate that no one was following us but all I could do was cry. The cot I had wanted was in pieces all over the road with traffic coming.
We managed to get it all together and guess what? nothing broken! A fair few scratches but got some colour matched paint that fixed that.
Just love those fabrics. Would certainly make a gorgeous table cloth or something for my house.
Oh wow yes please! I never used to win anything till I started blogging and recently have won a few bits and pieces - mainly being stitching related things. The most recent is a pair of Gingher scissors which I am waiting by the letterbox for. I have also won lots of stitching charts and threads and things. One that I REALLY wanted to win but didn't was Adamento's giveaway of some homemade Tablet. I was gutted that I didn't win that lol. x
ReplyDeleteAhh! I'm so excited about these fabrics! I never really win anything, but I'll give it a try :). Thanks for doing this, this is awesome! Is this for anything special?
ReplyDeleteAnyways, one time I called on the radio during a promotion and won TIVO when it was just coming out. It was the coolest thing! I only got it for a year though, and during that year I got really addicted to it, so it was a bummer when they came to take it away.
Well last year I went crazy for the Christmas School Show loto, bought 15 tickets and won a big beautiful pot of flowers. The flowers lasted for quite sometime (I am a plant killer, but these ones lasted for agood month before I had declared it dead...) and I smiled every time a got a glimpse of it. So worth paying probably double the price it compared to what it would have been at the local flower shop, but hey - I won!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try my luck on your fabric stash. Will be lovely for some doll quilts I am planning for Christmas pressies.
Oh I love those fabrics! I had a phase of comping last year after hearing stories of people who had won this car and this holiday and this ipod and that mobile phone; the only thing I won was tickets to a music festival ... in Spain. Which I had to buy my own tent for. And my own plane tickets. And they didn't send any kind of tickets or confirmation, I just had to turn up and my name would be on a list. Hmm. Needless to say I didn't bother going!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing of worth I can ever remember winning was when I was a student and I reluctantly agreed to accompany my 'biker chick' flatmate to a local Bikers Xmas party - I won a crate of Brown Ale in the raffle - thats like hitting THE jackpot when you are a poor student!!
ReplyDeleteI don't recall ever winning anything! When raffles are being drawn I sit there thinking it has to be me, I have to win something sometime but no, not to date!! Maybe this time!! (I say that every time!) :)
ReplyDeleteVivienne x
Never won anything, but I always tell my children that I must have won the lottery the day they were born!!
ReplyDeleteI won a knitted vest for my daughter in the SewmamaSew giveaways last Christmas, and it inspired me to take up knitting (which I later dropped as it is just too hard for me).
ReplyDeleteOh I am with Vivienne, I never win a thing. My brothers would win things all the time when we were kids, stuffed animals, a bike even a trip to Disney World, but alas not me!
ReplyDeleteP.S. new to reading your blog and love it!
I have won plenty of goldfish at local fairs. Also, once I won some scrapbooking paper, but I don't scrapbook, so I shared that with some friends who do!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this very nice giveaway!
Karen
I won a pretty useless china bell with silver wedding anniversary on in a tombola once. Need to save it for quite a few years before it becomes relevant! On the upside it got a lot of use when my daughter broke her leg and wanted to summon assistance she used to ring it!
ReplyDeleteLouise
x
Last Christmas' school bazaar we piled up to the tombola table, bought 50p worth of tickets and all three came up. Went home with a lovely bottle of fizz, white and red. Glared at a bit by the other parents too.
ReplyDeleteI love a giveaway and this looks very tempting Jane. Love to go in the hat.
X
I usually do quite well on the "tombola" stalls and if I win something I can't find a use for it gets taken to the charity shop. The last win was a football (luckily I have a great grandson who will love it!)
ReplyDeleteThe material is really nice.
I won a HUGE Santa decoration just before Christmas. I hesitated before putting my slip in because I wasn't sure I wanted the prize, and yet who won it? Really silly.
ReplyDeleteThis prize, though, is something I really do want!
Ohh I love a giveaway! The fabrics are amazing..Thanks for the oportunity...
ReplyDeletei rarely win anything, but seem to be quite lucky when i do as it's always been something lovely x
ReplyDeleteI've won the odd art competition in the past, which always made me feel proud. But can i mention my Mum, she's just been pick at work to go and see Status Quo (!) Not my taste but she's been a fan for years. Its at the Dorchester Hotel in London and I think i'm more exciting for her than she is (if thats possible!) :)
ReplyDeleteOnce entered a competition to win a new laptop - didn't win it but instead got the runner up prize of a book about the English Civil War (haven't started it yet!!!)
ReplyDeleteGill
I won some ground coffee recently - it was delicious! Would love to be entered in your giveaway, thanks. x
ReplyDeletefeels like I,ve won a prize retro fabric on my doorstep this evening after work from yourself. You can never have enough stash so i tell my husband .x
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 11 or so I made my first quilt (Hand-quilted lap quilt) and entered it in a contest. I didn't win the Grand Prize sewing machine, but rather a runner-up prize of assorted quilting goodies. I still have, and use, many of them all these years later.
ReplyDeleteNowadays, I don't win anything! But I keep entering giveaways anyhow. :)
Jane, by the way, wanted to say the bunting arrived, and I just love it! Inwondered if you would be making any Christmas bunting? Would def like some x
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I've ever won is a 'Blue Peter badge'! It was my prized possession as a child after I was a runner up in an (and this is showing my age!) A-Ha competition!!
ReplyDeleteWould love to be entered in your giveaway, the fabrics look yummy! Amanda x
A few years ago, I won an all expense paid trip for 4 to Jamaica from a major beverage company.
ReplyDeleteI was SO excited.
Then one by one, it all fell apart. My boyfriend started a new job in his field just before the departure date, so he could not go. Then my friend and her husband, my other 2 guests, ran into financial trouble and could not afford to take time from work.
I was not willing to go alone, so I had to forfeit the trip (I was not permitted to change the roster).
I still have the (useless) plane ticket and resort voucher.
Your vintage fabrics look so yummy and happy!
They may not be a trip to Jamaica, but I know I would get more use out of them!
hugs,
Heidi

I love love love these fabrics! I'd be thrilled to win them! Good luck to all of us!!!
ReplyDeleteAs a child I won a radio phone in competition and the prize was todays equivalent of £1. Boy oh boy, I was so chuffed and the prize bought a cinema ticket, cooldrink and packet of crisps!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win a super giveaway.

Thanks everyone for such fab funny comments!!
ReplyDeleteYou all sound like winners to me x x and Thankyou Catherine so glad you liked the bunting, yes I will definately be doing a christmas version.. watch this space :)
When I was little, I once had to choose a raffle prize for my Mum during school assembly, and chose an old plastic doll over the wine/ fruit basket/ Yardley gift set. She still hasn't forgiven me....
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics!
ReplyDeletecvrchkic@yahoo.com
I was the first person to call in on the radio once for tickets to a Dave Dobbyn concert - one of New Zealand's most awesome musicians. I was stoked. Would love to win this too......
ReplyDeletefor my birthday my boyfriend and i went to niagara falls and spent a fair amount of time at the midways. we ended up winning a plastic ring and a lollipop ring (we were joking that one of these could be my engagement ring), and some watermark tattoos which i later gave to my little cousin when she was throwing a fit during a visit. lol. thanks for the giveaway, love the fabrics!
ReplyDeleteOOOh your blog is beautiful and your crochet blankets simply wonderful ...I fell in love with them! Thank you for the nice comment on my blog...
ReplyDeleteLove the touch of crochet! Thanks for the giveaway! Love vintage!
ReplyDeleteHi I'm rather new to the world of blogging and so far just read them, this is the first time I've added a comment or entered a giveaway...
ReplyDeleteI did win a pirate mask at my nephew's birthday party last week, but I'm not sure when I'll be wearing it!
Thanks for such an inspiring blog.
I'm not very lucky when it comes to random drawings, however I've won few very nice prizes before.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a little pack of littleteawagon vintage fabrics and a little extra surprise.
Thanks for this giveaway.Gxx

wow Jane you have got a lot of posts here my lovely!
ReplyDeleteOk count me in too ....love the record album cover. I do see so many of these in my local charity shops. But how you have it displayed has made me think.....i might just have to buy one
Off for a large glass now xxxx Heather xxx
Hi Jane
ReplyDeleteI won $2 on a scratchie ticket once and that's about it!!!!
As a li'l girl of about 5, I won a BUTTER DISH at a carnival at my brother's high school. It's Danish modern. I loved it then and love it now!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric--love the Smiths!
I don't normally win anything. I've bought raffle tickets, lottery tickets, even tombola tickets over the years, but to no avail...until last year when I won a DAB radio! That too was 'pick your name out of a hat' competition so 'm hoping that I'll be lucky this time too. I would LOVE to win these fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI never win anything. Maybe because I don't enter often giveaways ! but this giveaway worths the try ! thank you for the chance !
ReplyDeleteI've been lucky with winning things, but the best thing I ever won was a "best costume" contest when I was eight. I dressed as Beetlejuice with a black and white striped suit and dyed blonde hair all spiked up. I received a trophy with pumpkins on it and as an eight year old, it was the best Halloween ever...especially because my brother made fun of a girl dressing like Beetlejuice. That trophy shut him up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

Someone gave me a scratch lottery ticket that cost $1... I scratched it, and won the $1 back! That made me happy, because I think lottery tickets are a waste of money. Other than that, I haven't been a winner any other time! I hope I can change that with this giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteI once won a prize form MTV, there was a contest for a band with a cd that came out that was called something like "songs for the deaf", and the prize was ear plugs :-/
ReplyDeleteyael555@yahoo.com
Hi Jane,
ReplyDeleteThings I have won:
crystal platter - spinning wheel school fete
jug of beer - trivia competition local pub
enough $ to buy red sneakers - Footy tipping competition at work
magazine subscription - 25 words or less on champagne!
Not bad now I see them all lined up.
Frilly
PS. your blog is the most addictive eye candy
It's not really winning anything, but last Christmas my family and I paid stupid amounts of money to have Christmas dinner at a posh hotel. It was pretty poor considering the price, so I complained a few days later (didn't want to completely ruin the Christmas buzz) and was awarded a £100 voucher to spend at the hotel as an apology.
ReplyDeleteRecently, I´ve won a gorgeous prize leaving a comment on a contest like these; on the blog "Feeling Stitchy": it was a beautiful, lovely embroidery book!! and I was the only one from Brazil, maybe the only foreign one!! Can you imagine my excitement when it arrived after crossing the ocean??!!
ReplyDeleteI´m wondering if I´ll be that lucky again and win these beautiful piece of fabric, but I´ll understand if it´s just for you, residents! :)
Anyway, my e-mail address: virgilios@uol.com.br
I only ever won 1 thing and that was a colouring in competition when I was 6, amazing how you remember the glory of childhood wins! I love your fabric give away xox
ReplyDeletei won a bottle of very cheap, very awful Vodka in a pub quiz when i was 18. Rather foolishly,i retired to a friends house after the quiz and we set about consuming said prize and becoming increasingly drunk. The following day, I was due to go Christmas shopping in the city with my mum and my best friend....well, I had the hangover from hell and my shopping chums were completely sober and TALKING VERY LOUDLY which hurt my poor head! I never got that drunk ever again and the memory of the vodka hangover reminds me of my foolish youth! Now I am far more sensible and spend my time stitching and knitting.
ReplyDeleteI won a Highlights magazine contest and had a drawing published when I was 6 years old. Greatest moment of my life.

Oh I am having a wonderful time visiting your blog. It would be so nice to have a package come in the mail for me.. so here's wishing I win some lovely fabric! Yipee!
ReplyDeletethat record cover reminds me of my childhood so much, very 70's.
ReplyDeleteI don't win much unlike my father, but to my surprise I won a double pass to see Menopause the Musical this week. It was the first time in 6yrs of single parenting that I have been out at night to something :)
I only ever win the 'boobie' prize - the goldfish that dies with 24 hours or the tin of mushy peas :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll have bettter luck this time???
Actually not 100% true - the best wins have been since I joined blogland :)
I'm lucky, I've won lots of ufo's at my local quilting guilds fundraiser auction, but I have to tell you, I spent a lot of money on tickets and I hadn't even joined yet. Here's the trouble, I'm such a newbie, I can't figure out how to finish most of them. Maybe I'll start a blog and ask for suggestions!
ReplyDeleteI don't think ever won anything either spectacularly good or comically bad - loving reading everybody else's though!
ReplyDeleteThis post made me think of my inlaws or outlaws as they're known here. Every Christmas they bring bottles of 'plonk' that they have won in raffles, still with tickets attached!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely giveaway and I'd love to be included x
I love your blogs color so vibrant. Would love to have some of your fabrics. and the surprise too. I still remember winning the bingo , shared by three, in cyprus years ago when we were living there. and lately from the lovely Ted and Bunny, not the big prize but a thoughtful gift waiting to be received. Will post about your giveaway in my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I've EVER won is a Nicey Jane charm pack earlier this year - not at all useless but still the only prize I've won! Considering all the giveaways and sweepstakes I enter, I must not have the best luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
The last thing I won was a cheese grater from the state fair. Well technically my little toddler won it but I don't think a 18month old should be playing with anything sharp. Winning some cute fabric to make her something with sounds like much more fun!
ReplyDeleteI am quite lucky with my wins, naming two goats (Buttercup and Daisy) age seven, winning the Silver Jubilee childrens raffle, Euro 2004 sweepstake at work, to name but a few. Would love to enter your giveaway, Mrs Teawagon. Am also going to follow you as I have really enjoyed meandering through your posts. Pleased I found you, thanks! Ax
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anything that I've won, but I would love to win this fabric!!
